College Advising
College advising can be an integral part of your student’s college application process. This can start as early as ninth grade when advisors can help your student select the best classes toward their individual goals. Meeting with one of our college counselors is highly beneficial and can increase your student’s odds of getting into a university. According to Education week, “Only a third of the country’s public high schools have a counselor devoted to helping students get prepared for college.” (Read more here)
During college advising sessions dedicated counselors will help your child:
- select the best high school classes for their goals and interests
- strategize for college fairs
- plan school visits
- plan out the application process
- write an effective admissions essay
- prepare for school interviews
- apply for financial aid and other scholarship resources
Sessions are $50 for 30 minutes. We recommend meeting with your advisor at least twice per year until your senior year when we recommend monthly meetings.
